Hi, my name is Danielle Evans. I have been working at Laycock for the past 13 years. I am at the Assistant Headteacher, Phonics Lead and Phase Leader of Early Years. With two young children of my own, I am extremely passionate about the importance of Early education in children’s development! There’s nothing I enjoy more than reading to and seeing children read! In picking up a book children are able to use their imagination to explore new ideas, go to new places and meet new characters, opening their minds to new ideas everyday!

My role is to manage, coordinate and oversee the area of SEND at Laycock Primary School. I support the staff in creating an inclusive learning environment for those pupils who have additional needs. A large part of my role involves liaising with the vast array of external professionals who support our pupils. My experience spans across many years of working within the area of SEND, in mainstream and special settings. I am the advocate for our pupils with additional needs and consider you, the parents, a partner in the education of your child.
