Deaf Provision Introduction

Deaf Provision Vision

The children in the Deaf Provision at Laycock Primary School are equal members of the school and community. We aim for all children to be confident in their own identity both as a deaf child and a member of specific communities.

Communication is at the heart of everything we do and we would wish all children to be fluent at communicating with their deaf and hearing peers.

All children have full access to the national curriculum which is differentiated to meet each child’s language and learning needs. We have high expectations for all children and aim for them to be working at an age appropriate level by the time they leave for secondary school.

All of the facilities and activities of the school are open to all children including breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs.
